On May 28, 2010, VAWatchDog.org broke the news story about VA's anti-veteran legislative proposal sent to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.  On June 8, 2010, Veterans for Common Sense wrote Representative Bob Filner, Chairman of the powerful House Veterans' Affairs Committee, and asked him to block VA's outrageous proposal to eliminate veterans' due process legal rights.
